This blank firer has become the new gun of choice in gang warfare. Criminals have readily converted a large number of the Olympic .38 BB to fire live ammunition. Thus it is being re-designated as a prohibited weapon and possession of it could result in a five year jail term.
A targeted amnesty ran until June 4, allowing everyone who had bought Olympics legally to hand them in to police stations, thus offering a route to dispose of these firearms without facing prosecution for possession.
Since I don’t really fancy a five year jail sentence, I have organized a huge searching party and managed to find 22 of them in our stock. It was heartbreaking to part with them… but now I’m looking forward to a shopping spree to replace them!
